What is ‘Beer Clean’?

Make sure your glass is ready for the perfect pour.

Have you ever heard of the term “Beer Clean”? A lot of times when I’m out with friends I’ll hear the famous question, ” Why do they spray the glass before they start to pour?”  To be quite honest, I was once that person, but now as the craft beer movement has begun to rapidly expand more and more bars are beginning beerRinse to showcase the beer glass rinsers.

They are intended for exactly that; rinsing the glass before pouring.  This will ensure that the glass is being removed of any detergents, or soap, or in some sad cases- dust.  The water is also chilled so it prepares the glass for temperature and for the beer to pour right in.

For people building the perfect bar at home you can also purchase models like these at-home beer rinsers to clean your glasses.  These help for people with outdoor bars and don’t want to have to go to the kitchen and use the sink.  The beer rinsers shoot up into your glass and down the sides so nothing is left in the bottom.

So now you know.  Use your knowledge and impress your friends, or just make sure you know you’re getting a clean glass for the perfect pour.

I've lived in Texas all my life and can't express how much I love this state. I found that I was enjoying these amazing bbq spots and drinking fantastic Texas-made beer and wanted my buddies and I to be able to share them with our readers.
