Texas Beer Soap Co. uses craft beer in soaps to clean.
After issues arising with local ingredients for their all-natural soap, the team at Texas Beer Soap turned to craft beer to finish working one their passion.
That dream started over four years ago.
This family-run business, housed in the Dallas- Ft. Worth area, compares the passion behind making great beer to the drive it takes to make great quality soaps. “During our research & development, we discovered how selective and creative craft brewers are with their ingredients. The passion for their craft is exciting and felt it was a perfect match.” says Theresa, Creator-in-Chief.
We received a sample to try of the Pretzel Stout that’s made with beer from the Martin House Brewing Company in Forth Worth, Texas.
Most of the soaps offered come in at around 4 oz., wrapped in nice tissue and round in size. The first thing you notice is the fragrance permeating through the wrapper, but despite the aroma, the scent doesn’t stay strong on your skin. And with the natural ingredients used, my skin didn’t feel dry and it wasn’t left with a strong smell after. It was quite pleasant.
Theresa goes on to mention, “As an occupational therapist, quality is front & center, hanging out with the brew team during their brewery tours & meeting other craft beer lovers is the fun part. We custom blend our products with essential oils or skin safe, phthalate-free fragrance oils. Our soap formula is food grade oils with unrefined butters of Shea & Cocoa to bring a quality of luxury items we are proud to offer for your grooming needs.”
Soap isn’t all you can pick up though and not all of the soaps are paired with a specific brand of beer. TBS also carries lip balm, beard balm and a 3-pack soap for yourself or for a gift.
