That being said- today a buddy of mine let me know that he, for some reason, had two bottles of Saint Arnold’s Divine #9 stashed in a closet and wanted to know if I was interested.
For the craft beer drinkers, let that sink in for a second…
Ok- for everyone else, the Divine series from Saint Arnold was a special release segment that let the SA brewery create some fun things ( short version, find out more here), and some of those beers went on to become beers that are still made today, such as: Endeavour ( Divine #11). and the beer for which this post was created: Divine #9.
Don’t fret if you’re not familiar with ol’ numero nueve. If you’re a fan of this website and Texas craft beer you may have heard of Saint Arnold’s Pumpkinator. If so, this was the first Pumpkinator- and I had received two bottles of it. This may not seem weird to some, but please note- this was made in 2009. Yup! Five years ago.
According to the Saint Arnold website in regard to this series, these beers were intended to be stored safely, if one was so inclined, for future consumption. I’m not typically one to store beers for long term, and especially not for five years, so I’m super curious to see what these will taste like. So, NO, I haven’t cracked it open. They’ve waited this long, what’s another couple of days.
